Line Up Samstag

Luciano (JAM)

Bugle (JAM)

Recording artiste and songwriter Bugle easily stands out in the very crowded dancehall fraternity. With timeless lyrics and songs that play on the emotions of listeners, Bugle’s catalogue isn’t one that can be easily dismissed. One of the frontrunners of the DASECA Production label, Bugle’s soulful

voice has been on fixture on the airwaves since 2007. Born Roy Thompson, he was introduced to music from an early age by his now deceased brother. However it was in 2000 that would begin his professional journey when he met international dancehall artiste Elephant Man where he would later pen a number of hits for the self styled Energy God. Said Bugle “I got my musical exposure touring with Elephant Man. At first I started traveling to the Caribbean and then the United States where I made an appearance on BET’s 106 and Park show, as well as the BET Awards among other places.” Being the man behind the music however wasn’t enough for the ambitious singer who in 2007 was introduced to singer/producer Serani from DASECA. “Serani told me that he wanted to do some work with me, but he didn’t want to give me the idea. So I went out and thought about it and came back with the idea for Exercise and the rest is history.” The socially conscious Exercise (What I’m Gonna Do) became a massive hit and topped the charts in Jamaica, New York, South Florida and many other Caribbean countries. The song not only

showed off Bugle’s writing abilities but his melodious and deep voice. From there the hits flowed like a river. Songs including Doh featuring Serani, Love Reigns featuring reggae singer Tarrus Riley, What Have I Done to You, Journey, Supremacy, Scotch Bonnet, Pearly Gates and Summer Break featuring Chevaughn and Razz and Biggy kept Bugle’s name on the musical radar for an extended period. Apart from the Daseca production team, Bugle has worked with a number of producers including TJ Records, Chimney, CR203, Notice, and Frass Records among others. Performance wise, Bugle has toured Japan, the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. He has performed at some of the biggest reggae music festivals including Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest and Sting. Some of his most recent recordings include There For You for DJ Frass, Streets for Notice Productions, Loving Memory for Troyton Music, and It Mek Yuh Get Richer on DASECA’s ‘Exodus’ rhythm. “I have lots of music working on right now, the greatest challenge for me is that because of the fact that I'm doing real deep music, sometimes I don't get justice but hard work over comes all difficulties so I’ll continue to do good music and work hard.” Bugle is currently being managed by Daseca and Major Links Entertainment out of the United States. In the summer of 2012 Bugle released a mix tape entitled Psalms. The project featured 43 tracks and is a journey through the artiste’s decorated career. Commenting on the mix tape, Bugle said ‘I think Psalms is one of the most informative chapters of the Bible so based on the content of this mix tape, I chose the word Psalms as the title”. The mix tape was produced by Sean ‘Razz’ Cousley from the turntable/selecting duo of Razz and Biggy. Among those who appear on Psalms are Dillinger, Etana, Vybrant, Jahmiel, Proppa Fade, Ding Dong, Blak Diamond and Oriel. In the wake of the mix tape, Bugle has been quite busy working with some of the top producers of the day including TJ Records, Daseca Productions, CR203 Production, Notice Production, Romeich Records, UIM Records and Frass Records. Among his recent singles are Jah Be with You, Life Span,

Only Human Live My Dream, and Rave til a Morning.

Runkus & The Old Skl Bond feat. Royal Blu (JAM)

Born Romario Sebastian Anthony Bennett aka RUNKUS to parents veteran entertainer Determine and artiste manager and booking agent Paula Francis, he started recording at the tender age of seven (7) years old with songs like Ghetto Youths, Those Niggas and Back on the Street Again on his parents Zulu Productions label.

Runkus is a past Campion College student, who did exceptionally well in his CSEC and CAPE Examinations. He was also a very active member of the student body, being President of several clubs including Media Production, Green Generation and the Music Club.

At the age of 15, he recorded a Mixtape with his father Determine entitled "Like Father Like Son" which was well received and allowed him to perform in the United States. The following year (2010) he entered a Talent Search which was organized by RETV, alongside his guitarist Scot. Being the only contestant with a difference, that is, an acoustic style to his set, he astounded the judges and won the competition, which gave him the opportunity to be on the RETV School tour performing alongside Beenieman, Denique, Ding Dong, Khago, Cherine Anderson, Stacious and Voicemail and also the the opportunity to do his first official

music video for song entitled "Badmind" on the Magician Records label, which got heavy rotation on television and radio.

Runkus has also had the opportunity to perform on Sting 2009, St Mary Mi Come From, Champion In Action , alongside his father and most recently Rebel Salute 2016 and Bob Marley 71st Birthday Celebration where he gave an outstanding performance. He recently went on a promotional tour in the United States where he toured the East Coast with Kymani Marley, which gave him the opportunity to showcase his repertoire of songs and his unique style. He sets himself aside from others in the field, simply because he doesn't have a set type of music style as he does what comes to mind and what feels right. "To say that I only do one or a few genre of music is limiting my scope, I simply do music, not just reggae, not just dancehall, not just roots rock... I DO MUSIC!" stated the young musician. Most of his music is guitar driven due to his love for the instrument and prior to the fact that he does engineering for his father (in his home studio, Matches BoxxProduction), he is able to compose enough to fabricate a finished product in his mind and bring it to life in the studio, like what was done with “Rain Start Fall” which was a collaborative effort of the Old Skl Band and Majah Label Music Group. He recently released a single accompanied by a music video with Bassick Records JA entitled “Victim” which is receiving positive feedback and support from many. In 2014 Runkus and the Old Skl Band completed a project with his production team Majah Label Music Group. It also consists of songs produced by BassickRecords JA, UIM and Krs Allen. The project entitled "Welcome Paula Son" has eleven (11) fiery tracks and a bonus track, displaying his versatility, lyrical prowess and his appreciation for various genres. It includes collaborations with his father Determine, his

mother, Keznamdi, Royal Blu, and Eva.

His eight track EP entitled Move In, was released on February 5th, 2016 was recorded for German label Oneness Records and features a collaboration with upcoming artiste Royal Blu. The single RUN which was recorded for polish label K-Jah Sound has already gone over one hundred and sixty three thousand (163000) views on YouTube and still counting . MOVE YUH FEET brings you back to the originality of ska with its kenetic energy is gaining momentum both locally and on international airwaves and

the music video was premiered on local television program Onstage with Winford Williams on Saturday, May 7th 2016 and has already gotten over one hundred and eight thousand (108000) YouTube views. Runkus and his band(Old Skl Bond) has toured Europe this Summer (2016) where he performed on major festivals such as Reggaejam in Germany, Reggae Geel in Begium and Rototom in Spain. Last year (2016) Runkus was nominated by the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association Honor Awards as Breakthrough Artiste of the year for 2016, in recognition of his overall professionalism, integrity, attitude and decorum as a young and upcoming artiste. The Bob Marley Group of Companies has invited Runkus to be one of the Brand Ambassadors for 2016

where he will perform at the Bob Marley Museum on Sunday, February 6th, 2017 at the annual celebrations, in commemoration of reggae icon and legend Bob Marley. Runkus is currently in the process of finalizing his new project entitled CLASSIHIM for a release date in February 2017. Being the complex artist that he is Runkus, aim is to get his audience to increase their awareness on the

issue of classism in Society. He has already released a single from the project entitled BURN EVERYTHING which has been heavily rotated locally and internationally. A supporting video has been done and will be released soon.

Runkus is really a force to be reckoned with, a very promising artiste and new world sensation.

The Dubby Conquerors (CH)
11th Birthday Bash with

- Raggabund
- Elijah
- De Luca

- Trifinga & Joha (Herbalist Crew)

The Dubby Conquerors sind:

Beda Ehrensperger (Drums)

Elias Kohli (Bass)

Luca Bochicchio (Gitarre)

Michele Bochicchio (Keyboards)

Black Omolo & Fiyah Nation Band (KE)

Nach ihrer ersten Veröffentlichungen, darunter die Debut-Single „Love your Life“, folgten zahlreiche Auftritte.
